But for the most part, the wives go into it knowing that a good bit of the time, their husbands will not be there. Its a rough life for sure, even harder on their families at home. ![]() They make just the average guy want to go do what they do. Rough, tough, hard working, wicked sense of humor, practical joke players, etc. The two brothers that operate the Time Bandit, Jonathan and Andy, are what you would expect a fisherman to be. To go fishing in the Bering sea, never knowing if it will be your l ast trip out. The book takes you back and forth, from then to now, on what it is and was like to grow up in Homer, Alaska. Their lives and their dedication to what they do, is in most part, according to them, directly related to what their father instilled in them growing up. They show their love and respect for the father in this book. The book itself takes you into the past and present with the Hillstrand brothers and their father, who raised them in that lifestyle. I always enjoy the Time Bandit crew and Jonathan and Andy Hillstrand, when it comes their time on the show to have the spotlight on them. ![]() So I go into this review with a love for the show and the crab fishing lifestyle.
